Good ideas from the folks at FROG via Guy Kawasaki. I'm rethinking some of the ways my organization does things. I need to look more into google docs. and other free web applications. Any of you used google docs? What's been your experience?
I'm reading a fascinating book that has some of the same themes that run through Bob Lupton's recent writing. It's called 'White Man's Burden" by William Easterly. (I get the feeling some of you have read this already.) You can find it here. The title of the book is somewhat unfortunate, it's meant to be sarcastic. There are some amazing points here, stuff NCUD and others at CCDA have been talking about for years. Scott from GuyFROG here...Google docs has been pretty handy but for a lot of the stuff we do, a wiki really would have been more appropriate, it's just that some of our folks had a pretty difficult time understanding how to use it. So they didn't.
ReplyDeleteThere are a number of useful wiki tools at JotSpot, also a Google aquired tool, you should check it out when it's open to new users. In the meantime, pbwiki and others work well...good luck!
thanks scott... i must confess that I'm a little behind the times on the web apps. I need to do some more research and see what could work for us.
