Missing My Brother

Our beloved friend, lifetime servant of Christ, pastor, respected 'urban' leader and Sam's adopted uncle Max Torres passed last night after a fatal motorcycle accident. Max has been a close friend of mine for well over a decade. I've had lots of wonderful memories flooding back from my times with Max including a retreat on Lake Meade in the 90's, a visit to the White House in the Clinton days and many laughs during his season serving in East Palo Alto with Bayshore Christian Ministries. One of the picures I posted was from a summer intern retreat where he was the speaker.

My thoughts are prayers are with Dalia and their sons.

Max, well done - a life well lived. You are missed...

Every day is a gift.

I'll post more information as I become aware.

    I used to attend Tab and the one thing that keeps ringing in my head is Max singing "Isn't it amazing what a prayer can do". Love you Max!

    There can be different instances in life that you will need to conduct people search. For example, a family member or a relative may immediately disappear and tries really hard to hide from all family members. In other instances,  missing persons investigations

    Many people ask themselves and others how they are able to tell if their ex-significant other is missing them. No doubt everyone wants to be loved by someone and if you have just been dumped, you may still be looking for love from your ex. So it's normal what you're thinking now. missing adult private investigator

Book: White Man's Burden - thoughts for Labor Day Weekend

I'm reading a fascinating book that has some of the same themes that run through Bob Lupton's recent writing. It's called 'White Man's Burden" by William Easterly. (I get the feeling some of you have read this already.) You can find it here. The title of the book is somewhat unfortunate, it's meant to be sarcastic. There are some amazing points here, stuff NCUD and others at CCDA have been talking about for years.
